Description

The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, equipment, services or facilities to perform the Public Defender Services for the Eastern Oklahoma Regional Office, Court of Indian Offenses located in Miami, Oklahoma. The Public Defender will be required to be present at the Miami Agency CFR Court for one administrative day and one court day. This contract is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012. The Government anticipates awarding this as a firm fixed price contract with an option to Extend the Term of the contract not to exceed four years and seven months (FAR Clause 52.217-09). This is a Buy Indian Act set-aside (25 U.S.C. 47). Contractor is required to be a licensed Attorney. Proposals will be evaluated based on qualifications, experience and knowledge of Tribal and CFR Courts, the Indian Child Welfare Act, and jurisdiction in Indian County. Solicitation will be available on Friday, January 13, 2012. Due date for receipt of proposals is Friday, February 3, 2012, by 12:00 p.m. in the Branch of Contracts, Southern Plains Regional Office, 100 Riverside Drive, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of the subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises.
