NON-PERSONAL SERVICES: The United States Air Force, ASC/Operational Contracting Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, 45433-5344. THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF RFQ ISSUANCE. This is a Synopsis published for informational purposes only. This office intends to issue a solicitation on a competitive basis for the following service: AFIT/ENY is currently seeking an ultra-high speed camera capable of frame rates of one-billion frames per second (Bfps). Furthermore, the camera system must include minimum 1000 X 800 pixel resolutions per image frame with a 12-bit dynamic range per each image, one nanosecond minimum exposure, and a minimum of at least 12 consecutive images and 12 individual frames (not 6 frames double gated). This camera system must be all inclusive in which the system is self-contained (utilizes one camera lens) and can be controlled with a standard computer operating windows based software. The lens mount should include standard Nikon lens mount for ease of use and availability of parts. Additional requirements of the camera shall include 0 - 10ms Interframe times, less than 100 picosecond jitter at 1,000,000,000 fps, light weight and portable (Less than 30 pounds with lens), and with a minimum of 7.4 um pixels. A list of additional minimum requirements can be found in Attachment 1 - Minimum Requirements. The NAICS Code is 333315 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) electronically on or around 25 January 2012. The RFQ and other related documents will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities Page on the Internet at http://www.fbo.gov/. NO HARD COPIES OF THE RFQ OR RELATED DOCUMENTS WILL BE ISSUED. Central Contractor Registration is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx.
