- ed River Army Depot has an urgent requirement for the Repair of the following Hydraulic Cylinders for an estimated quantity of 28, 40 Ton Crane Grove RT 875CC. There are 17 cylinders per crane. This work instruction establishes the requirements for contractors bidding to repair the following cylinders: Repair Boom Cylinder, Grove Part Number 6-372-003096, 3810-1-268-8578 (1 per crane) Repair Steering Cylinder, Grove Part Number 6-372-003089, 3040-01-281-8002 (4 per crane) Repair Lift Cylinder, Grove Part Number 6-372-005300, 2590-01-269-4844 (2 per crane) Repair Outrigger Jack Cylinder, Grove Part Number 6-372-003093, 2590-01-269-3796 (4 per crane) Repair Axle Lockout Cylinders, Grove Part Number 6-372-003064, 3040-01-281-8003 (2 per crane) Repair Outrigger Extension Cylinder, Grove Part Number 6-372-0030085, 2590-01-268-9980 (4 per crane) All the repairs will include the following: - 100% new replacement of all seals and o-rings - Determine serviceability of all cylinder rods and glands and repair/replace accordingly. All rods and glands are to be free from pitting. All metal surfaces free from dents, scratches, rust or any inhibiting surface issues. - All unserviceable rods and glands will be returned to RRAD with repaired cylinders for further disposition. - Inspect all threaded holes for defects - Inspect all welds - Clean and buff all pin holes and check for missing pins and replace as required. - Inspect all bearings and retainers for serviceability - Inspect all grease fittings for serviceability - All necessary honing and buffing inside cylinder housing - PSI testing IAW DMWR 5-3810-306 Additional configurations may be added to this contract by mutual agreement in accordance with the Changes provision contained in this solicitation. Contractor will be notified by RRAD via delivery order that the Cylinders are ready to be picked up at the depot for repair. Contractor will pick up the assests at RRAD and move them to their facility. Repair all areas outlined in the Statement of Work, and return the Cylinders to RRAD once the repair is completed. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside (less than 500 employees). NAICS Code: 333995 The award shall be made on or about 26 Mar 2012. Any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be a DO rated order certified for national defense use under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) (15 CFR 700), and the Contractor willbe required to follow all of the requirements of this regulation.
