Description
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions/clarifications. Q1. Could you please confirm whether automated online concentration is required? A1. No, automated online concentration will not be used. Q2. Could you please confirm whether consumables, such as injection vials, caps, etc are required? We can list these as optional items. A2. No, consumables will not be used. Q3. Regarding Item No. 8, "Direct injection rather than loop fill injection". Could you please expand on this and define this requirement further? Does the lab intent to use a feature for loading small volumes? Or to have the GPC system automatically inject the cleaned sample directly from the GPC into the GC? The typical procedure for loading a sample is to use a loop and syringe to measure the volume. The volumes loaded onto a GPC column are usually on the order of 2-5 mL, either by full-loop or partial-loop injection. A3. The Government requirement is for Direct Injection - Direct injection in this case refers to the way the GPC initially draws in sample. Direct injection is when a GPC draws up a volume of sample and then injects that entire volume onto the column. This is different from a loop injection in which the sample is drawn up and is used to fill a loop of tubing with a set volume of sample. The Loop fill injections typically draw up twice as much sample as is needed and then discard the rest. 2. All other terms and conditions as previously established remain unchanged.
