- NOTICE OF INTENT10 January 2012 REQUEST # W81C5M1346242S The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Installation Division, 4118 Susquehanna Ave, APG, MD 21005 intends to award a sole source contract to American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, 5301 Buckeystown Pike, Suite 350, Frederick, MD 21704-8373. The contract will be for the annual recertification of the chemical and environmental laboratories in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005. A2LA was the initial assessor and is, therefore, the only accreditation body that can perform a renewal assessment. This contract includes on site assessment of the Aberdeen Test Center laboratories, review of the laboratories document quality system for compliance with 17025 standards and technical competence. In addition, the contract includes labor hours and travel expenses for the assessor. Interested parties may identify their interest in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 4:30 PM, Eastern Time, January 25, 2012. Telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
