- Description
- The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), has a requirement for REPLACING SPRINKLER SYSTEM PIPING in all parking garage levels of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington, DC. The applicable NAICS code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the small business size standard is $14 million. This acquisition is set aside for women-owned small business concerns only. Required services include, but are not limited to: 1. The contractor shall replace cross mains and associated fittings in the dry systems throughout all four levels of the parking garage (pipe size for pipe size) using schedule 10 pipe for mains. 2. The contractor shall perform a hydrostatic test at the completion of the work. 3. The contractor shall replace the existing standard response sprinkler heads with compatible quick response type throughout all four levels of the parking garage (dry system only). 4. The contractor shall flush all existing branch lines (after new work has been completed). Award will be made to the firm submitting the proposal that offers the best value to the government, technical and price factors considered. The technical evaluation factors are: 1. Corporate Experience; and 2. Past Performance. The RFP will only be available electronically, and will be available on or about January 25, 2011.
