- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with MEDRAD, INC., 100 GLOBAL VIEW DR, WARRENDALE, PA 15086-7601, to purchase a service for preventive maintenance contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, parts, and all other resources required to deliver the requirements stated herein. VA Pittsburgh has the following equipment: 1.Title: Preventative maintenance and repair of Dye Injectors. 2.Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, parts, and all other resources required to deliver the requirements stated herein. 3.Background: VA Pittsburgh has the following equipment: (1)Medrad Avanta DCB-AVT serial 20233; (1) Medrad Angiojet Series 5000 Ultra DCB-ANJU serial U3200; (2) Spectris Solaris/EP DCB-SMRS serials 42599, 44272; (1) Stellant D DCB-SCTD serial 27740; (2) Stelland D (With XDS) DSC-DXDS serials 26251, 31938; which need regular preventative maintenance according to Avanta Service manual 202982 Rev D, Spectris Solaris EP service manual SSMR-SERV 200880 Rev D, and Stellant single and dual head Maintenance and Checkout Manual dated 2006. These units also need repair by trained personnel using manufacturer approved parts when they fail according to the parts list referenced in the above manuals. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334510 with a small business size of 500 employees. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 1/17/2012 by C.O.B. Responses should be sent to jesse.rumbel@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
