- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5110 intends to procure AN/SPQ-14(V) Advanced Sensor Distribution System (ASDS) equipment (Quantity: One (1) ship set and spare components) on a sole source basis to Frontier Electronic Systems Corporation (FES). FES does not have any authorized resellers. This is a noncommercial procurement. FES is the only qualified source to provide the ASDS System hardware. Use of another vendor ™s product, would require unbudgeted and unanticipated test package development, combat systems verification testing, and an unbudgeted complete sequence of Shock, Vibration and Electromagnetic Interference testing. Market research was completed and no other vendor can meet the specific hardware and delivery requirement for the procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511with a size standard of 750 people. The closing date is 9:00AM EST on 26 January 2012.
