- The Department of Commerce/National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) in partnership with the Montgomery County Maryland Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an Industry Day for vendors on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 8:00am to 12:00PM (EST), at the NIST Gaithersburg, MD campus located at 100 Bureau Drive, Building 101, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-1070. This Industry Day is intended to provide vendors information about the work performed at NIST, and some FY12 (current) NIST requirements including cyber security, construction, and other scientific and technical services. Vendors will have an opportunity to pose questions, and to network with other vendors as well as representatives from the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce GovConNet, and the NIST Operating Units. Registration (which will close February 1, 2012) and the agenda for the conference can be found at the following website: https://www-s.nist.gov/CRS/conf_disclosure.cfm?conf_id=5104 Please be advised, for security reasons, attendees who have not pre-registered will not be admitted to the NIST campus, or to the Industry Day/Business Fair. NOTE: This is NOT a "bidder's conference" and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract or a commitment of any kind. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any vendor for presentations, travel, marketing efforts or data offered for examination, therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
