Description
Amendment 1 is issued to incorporate the following changes into the solicitation: 1.Paragraph (iv) is removed and replaced by the following, "The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order to the responsible offeror whose total offer represents the lowest-price-technically-acceptable proposal for the Government. United States Park Police - Horse Mounted Unit (USPP - HMU) is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish and deliver 124 bales of hay, per month, in bales of approximately 40 pounds ea; however 50 - 60 lb. bales will also be accepted. The work of this project shall consist of providing all equipment, labor, material and supplies needed to deliver to the USPP - HMU, (124 bales of hay per month) string or wire tied, brand name or equal to Timothy Hay, for a base period of eight (8) months, beginning February 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012, with four (4) subsequent option years, from October 1 through September 30, (subject to availability of funds). Salient characteristics of Timothy Hay are as follows: must have good color and no moisture damage. Hay that is stacked outside and exhibits only minor damage to top bales and bale ends can qualify for this quality grade. Hay must have minimal weeds to qualify for this grade. All blemishes will be noted. Upon award of the contract, the winning vendor will be obligated to complete the delivery for the bales of hay as requested by the designated person of the USPP - HMU. See Statement of Work and Contract Bid Schedule, below, for further details." 2.Paragraph xi is removed and replaced by the following, "FAR provisions/clauses listed below apply. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, with paragraph (b) clauses indicated by number 11, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 37, 39(ii), 41 and 46, FAR 52.217-5, Evaluation of Options, FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds, FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal, FAR 52.217-2, Cancellation Under Multi-Year Contracts." 3.STATEMENT OF WORK, Item # 2, "Delivery," is removed and replaced by the following, "Provide twelve deliveries per year to a stable located in Staten Island, NY. Each delivery will total 124 bales of hay per delivery, per month to the designated stable. Oral delivery orders are authorized. A contact person to authorize the deliveries will be identified after the contract is awarded. All deliveries can be made seven days a week, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., holidays excluded. The contractor will notify the identified contact person in advance of deliveries and advise of the approximate time of delivery. Hay will be delivered in approximately 40 pound bales ea; however, 50 - 60 lb. bales will also be accepted, by the truckload to the designated location within three (3) business days after receipt of order. Contractor shall unload and place delivered supplies in the designated area. Hay must be stacked in the storage area, with older hay rotated to provide access for immediate use.
