- This attachment is a description of the requirements of the service. This is a presolicitation synopsis stating that the United States Air Force contemplates issuing a competitive solicitation for pipette calibration services. This anticipated solicitation will be to provide calibration, certification, and repair of single and multi channel pipettes used in the Diagnostics Reference Library at the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM). A draft copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to this pre-solicitation notice and contains the specific requirements of the service. Please note the PWS is subject to change prior to the issuance of the solicitation. The solicitation number for this requirement is FA8601-12-T-0088 and will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Subpart 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contemplated contract is to be Firm Fixed Price for one base year and four one-year option periods. The solicitation is expected to be released on or about 12 January 2012. This acquisition will be set-aside exclusively for small business concerns under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 811219 "Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance", size standard $19.0 Million. The Department of Defense has determined the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be the single DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD. Contractors must be registered in CCR prior to contract award. CCR can be accessed at https://www.bpn.gov. All interested offerors must download documents from http://www.fbo.gov. No hard copies will be available. All interested offerors are requested to electronically register in order to receive e-mail notification of updates to this solicitation.
