- MSD REPAIRS SOW The U.S. Maritime Administration intends to acquire on a sole source basis the services to Replace Defective and Worn Components in the Starboard Marine Sanitation (MSD) unit from the Original Equipment Manufacturer, (OEM) Fast Systems, from Scienco/Fast Representative located at 12977 Maurer Industrial Drive, Sunset Hills, MO 63127-1515, Mr. Steve Carpenter, (314)-645-6540.. This vendor is the only known Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Representative who can supply services and parts meeting the requirements. Scienco/Fast, Fast Systems (OEM) representative maintains an engineering capability unique to providing requested parts(s) and/or material(s). They have the original manufacturer parts or prints readily available. Fast Systems has the experience and unique knowledge and ability in provision of part(s) and or material questioned. The Starboard MSD aboard TS EMPIRE STATE is showing its age and requires specified work. MSD units must be repaired by a qualified and knowledgeable company due to their operation affecting crew and cadet health and safety, therefore, the OEM, Fast System's representatives, Scienco/Fast, are best qualified to accomplish the needed repairs. This notice is not a request for proposals/quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirements by emailing a Capability Statement (CS) to the Contracting Officer, Eileen Williams, Eileen.williams@dot.gov by 4:00 p.m. EST, January 4, 2012. Capability statements must include documentation establishing the ability to satisfy the requirements in the Statement of Work (SOW). Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
