- Description
- SYNOPSIS : The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office - SCRO, plans to issue solicitation IFBP05101200002 for the construction of, to include but not limited to, replacing high voltage cable. The successful contractor will provide pull wire, remove existing 25,000 volt feeder conductor, install approximately 400 linear feet of new 25,000 volt medium voltage conductor, install approximately 3200 linear feet of new 5,000 volt medium voltage conductor cable. The work will include conductors, conduits, duct banks, pull boxes, manholes, final terminations and all terminations, splices and associated components. Existing and new 6" schedule 40 PVC conduit will be used/provided encased in concrete as shown on the drawings. All conduit bends and elbows in the duct bank must be PVC coated rigid steel. Direct burial cables shall not be used. The performance period is 400 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work located at the Federal Correctional Institution, La Tuna, Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will available on or about December 20, 2011 with an anticipated bid opening date of approximately January 24, 2012. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website http//www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments will also be distributed soley through this site. Faith Based and Community Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
