- Description
- The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base California, intends to award a sole source non-commercial purchase order to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Lockheed Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76108-7450 using the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B). The period of performance for this effort is anticipated to be 02 Jan 12 - 31 Mar 12. The NAICS Code is 541330 which has a business size standard of $25,000,000. This award is specifically to continue the requirement for support services for the Variable Stability In-Flight Simulator and Test Aircraft (VISTA), a highly modified F-16. Services include: engineering, documentation, logistical, and project support specifically for a student test management project. This sole source award is being made to ensure the critical, highly integrated, real time support to TPS is maintained. Lockheed Martin is the designer and manufacturer of the USAF F-16 fleet and the holder of all rights and documentation associated with the F-16 aircraft. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days of the publication of this notice. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. The due date and time for responses to this synopsis is 4:00 pm Pacific Standard Time on 30 Dec 2011. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not a competitive procurement should be conducted.
