- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, SFLC-CPD C&P2-IBCT PL, proposes to contract the planned dry-dock & repairs of USCGC HARRY CLAIBORNE (WLM-561), a 175' Coastal Buoy Tender, home moorage in Galveston, TX. All work shall be at the Contractor's facility during the 70 day availability, period of performance 04 April 2012 through 13 June 2012. Work items include but are not limited to: Hull Plating ultrasonic testing, inspect, repair & preserve; Appendages leak test internal preserve; Tanks inspect, preserve; Circuit Breakers inspect and test; Vent Ducts (various) commercial clean & inspect; Sea Strainers (all sizes) overhaul; Thruster Unit (general) overhaul; Cross Deck Winches overhaul; Hydraulic Inhaul Winch overhaul; Anchor Windlass (level 3) overhaul; Warping Capstan (level 2) inspect & repair; Decks-exterior preserve; Under Water Body preserve; Dry-docking; Temporary Services, provide; Hydraulic Power Unit Isolation Valves, install; Forward Scan Sonar Unit Transducer de-install; Chain Locker and Chain Clean & Inspect; Temporary messing & berthing, provide; Mast preserve; Bilges (various) preserve; Buoy Crane inspect & repair. On or about 30 December 2011, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The acquisition will be solicited as a Small Business Set Aside. Only certified 100% SB contractors may submit a quote. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees.
