- Description
- The Military Sealift Fleet Support command has a requirement for the upcoming Mid-Term Availiability (MTA) for the USNS SIOUX (T-ATF 171). The period of performance for this requirement is to commence on/about 25 May 2012 for a period of twenty-eight (28) days. This requirement will be solicited on a full and open basis. Major work itmes will include: Replacing port and starboard high speed bearing, open, clean and inspect Main Reduction Gear Coolers, open and inspect line shaft bearing, overhaul/replace anchor windlass motor controller, groom/overhaul telephone control center, GMDSS recertification, install CHT aerating piping, overhaul 1 and 2 AC compressor, replace emergency cooling 4" limitorque valve, and transient deck renewal. Successful offeror must possess a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) or have submitted an application for approval prior to contract award. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is on/about 02 January 2012 with an estimated closing date of 1 February 2012.
