- United States Air Force Concept Characterization and Technical Description (CCTD) Guide dated 27 Oct 2010 Ground-Based Strategic Deterrence (GBSD) Concept Development - Objective is to explore new concepts that will help continue the ground-based strategic deterrence mission beyond 2030. The concept development activities will provide decision makers information on the cost, schedule, and technical risks associated with each option analyzed to address the capability gaps identified in the GBSD Initial Capabilities Document. During the concept development phase, all feasible materiel options will be analyzed and documented in a Concept Characterization and Technical Descriptions format. Industry is asked to submit potential concepts to be considered for future ground-based strategic deterrence capability.
