Description
The US Army Contracting Command intends to purchase the following under the EXPRESS Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) W31P4Q-09-A-0021, Task order Number 0001 with Torch Technologies, Inc., Huntsville, AL: Desktop size, 4-axis CNC machine, quantity of 1. Machine must meet the following requirements: Have at least 4-axes for machining 3-D parts; step resolution 0.025mm; single axis accuracy +/- 0.08 mm; single axis repeatability +/-0.04 mm; overall accuracy: +/-0.15 mm; overall axis repeatability +/-0.08 mm; power: must operate on single phase 110VAC (60Hz) and draw no greater than 20 Amperes. Size needs to be portable and shall not exceed 72.0' Height x 72.0' Width x 36.0' Depth. Machine must be able to machine light metals. Milling portion of the system must be enclosed in a housing and provide a means for dust extraction for lab safety and contamination prevention. System must be able to produce 2-sided, copper, printed circuit boards using industry standard Gerber and drill files as inputs. System must be able to machine 2D designs using industry standard.dxf files as inputs, and must be able to machine 3D designs using standard STL files as input. This item is not available from GSA schedule sources. Therefore, in accordance with FAR 8.402(f) this requirement is being synopsized. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested parties may submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement within 7 calendar days of the publication of this notice, to be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed task order modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a separate competitive procurement.
