- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-12-G-0005 to BAE Systems Controls, Inc. (BAE), 600 Main Street, Johnson City, NY 13790-1889, on a sole-source basis. This effort will be for Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and recuring engineering to convert four (4) CV-22 IDWS kits from their current configuration to a configuration compatible with the MV-22. In addition, this effort will include an option for NRE and recurring engineering to correct the electromagnetic environmental effect deficiencies. BAE is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the IDWS, and at this time BAE's IDWS is the only IDWS that has been integrated into and flight qualified on the MV-22. BAE is the only source that possesses the engineering, technical data and requisite knowledge of the IDWS design, fabrication, performance operation, maintenance and support characteristics to fulfill this requiremnet.
