Description
This notice is to announce that the Government intends to solicit the NSNs listed below in the near future. This is not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. The Solicitation/Request for Proposal will be forth coming and will be available via the DLA-BSM Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP/. The response date referenced above is estimated. The Solicitation Issue Date is on or about 1-3-12, with the Response date on or around 2-3-12. Note: Copies of this solicitation will only be available via the World Wide Web. Type of Contract: The United States Government (USG) will award a firm fixed price with firm fixed price for option years. An Indefinite Quantity Contract (1 year basic with four 1-year option periods) is anticipated. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. Various incremental quantities will be solicited. It is currently projected that stock orders only will be issued. Deliveries will be to various DLA stocking locations. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and possibly other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The proposed contract is not set aside for small business concerns. This item will be solicited as unrestricted. Full and Open Competition applies. Specifications, plans or drawings are available. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
