- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Aeronautical & General Instruments Limited for the procurement of Minimum Operating Strip Lighting System (MOSLS) equipment. MOSLS equipment includes four types of lighting trailers, subassemblies and all associated spare parts. The four types of trailers are CABKIT (Cable Kit), Quadcon ISO (International Standardization Organization) container, MOSKIT (Minimum Operating Strip Lighting System) trailer and SALKIT (Supplementary Airfield Lighting Kit) trailer. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not have the rights to current data, drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
