Description
52.Can we get a three-year claims history from the current bike operations? No. The Service does not have these records, and the requirement to provide them was not a part of the previous operator's CUA permit requirements. 53.Can we put safety/wellness signage along the trail routes?A request to provide signs will require the review and approval of the Park on a case-by-case basis. If the Offeror intends such signs to be part of its offer, it should consider that such signs are not within the Concessioner's land assignment and are not provided for within the Draft Contract. After award of contract, the successful Offeror may submit a proposal to the Park for signage. Offerors should not assume that such a proposal would be approved. Offerors must respond to questions as asked and all conditions as described in the Prospectus and Draft Contract. 54.Can we get annual revenue and rider numbers from current bike operations in order to understand exposure for insurance rating? The Business Opportunity provides much of this information. Additional information is provided in the answer to Number 6, above. Proposal Package - Principle Selection Factor 355.There are two sub factors described as requiring response in regards to "The Offeror's experience in providing Bicycle Rental Tours" (one designated as "3(b)" and one as "3(d)"). Are these intended to be separate sub factors with identical headings but different elements? Please see the Errata #1 issued December 2, 2011. 56.There are two sub factors designated as "3(d)". Is the sub factor described as "The Offeror's experience in providing Bicycle Rental Tours" intended to be designated as "3(c)"?Please see the Errata #1 issued December 2, 2011. 57.Pertaining to Selection Factor 2 Subfactor 2(b) - Will trash and recycling dumpsters be provided by the NPS or be the responsibility of the concessioner? Please refer to the Draft Contract, Exhibit E - Maintenance Plan, Section B-1(J), Litter and Garbage (Page E-B5) for information on dumpsters. The Concessioner must provide its own Service-approved dumpsters, which will be located in the parking lot directly behind its building. Please see the construction drawings (as referenced in question #48) for the location of these dumpsters. 58.Is Subfactor 3(c) incorrectly labeled as Subfactor 3(d)?Please see the Errata #1 December 2, 2011. 59.Pertaining to Secondary Selection Factor 1 Subfactor 1(a) - Will the concessioner be allowed to refuel vehicles at the fueling station off of Shuttle Bus Rd., and if so will CNG fueling be available to the concessioner as well?If the Concessioner has a CNG vehicle, the Service will allow it to be refueled at the Park's refueling station. However, because there is commercial gasoline available in Tusayan, the Park will not allow the Concessioner to refuel at the Park's regular gasoline facility. Modification #1 - Below please find the National Park Service's (NPS) changes to a Concession Business Opportunity to provide Bicycle Rentals, Limited Retail and Food Service on the South Rim Grand Canyon National Park. The deadline for proposals has been extended to January 6, 2012. Any proposal must be received by the Chief of Concessions, Intermountain Region, National Park Service, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228 by 4:00PM MST on Friday January 6, 2012 in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract.
