- *****This amendment to this announcement corrects an advertising oversight which failed to mention the Siplast Select roofing system approved equals listed in the Specification document, which are Firestone and Soprema roofing systems.***** Lava Beds National Monument, located in Tule Lake, Siskiyou County, California has a requirement for the replacement of the existing roof covering on the Carpenter Shop with a new cold-applied Modified Bituminous Roofing system. The Carpenter Shop is one of the last remaining structures of the Tule Lake Segregation Center, located in Newell, California. Project work includes, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of all existing roofing materials above existing substrate, install new Government-furnished Oriented Strand Board (OSB) roofing substrate, furnish and install a new cold-applied Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing System. To be eligible for award, certification MUST be provided with your quote showing your firm to be an approved Siplast Select (or approved equal) contractor authorized to apply guaranteed Siplast (or approved equal) Roofing Systems. The project range is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. All work will be performed under a single, fixed price purchase order. Award selection will be based on a Best Value determination made after consideration of price and factors other than price (technical capability, past performance) as outlined in the RFQ. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available via electronic commerce only and may be accessed on/about December 7, 2011 at either http://www.fbo.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center website athttp://ideasec.nbc.gov. The due date for receipt of quotations will be by close of business December 21, 2011. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 238160 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million (in average gross receipts for the past three years).
