Description
Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) Agile Process Industry Day FBO Announcement: The Army's System of Systems Integration (SoSI) Directorate, supported by the Army Test and Evaluation Command, the Brigade Modernization Command, Program Executive Office C3T and the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command's communications-electronics center (CERDEC), will hold an Industry Day on January 11, 2012 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The goal of the event is to keep the Network industrial base informed of the Agile Process direction and integration and evaluation process that supports the NIE and to outline future NIE participation opportunities. Special emphasis of this Industry Day will focus on the laboratory assessment phase of the Agile Process. This Industry Day will update Agile Process criteria and review capability gaps that exist as the Army continues to develop and solidify the Capability Set 13 Integrated Network Baseline for fielding and then continue incremental improvements to that baseline as technology advances, programs of record mature and operational needs are realized. As the NIE Agile Process continues to mature the Army is refining our Sources Sought methodology to be more specific with defined gaps. The Army is also building more time into the process for laboratory assessments that will both inform our selections and allow for necessary integration work to take place prior to insertion into the NIE at Fort Bliss, TX, and White Sands Missile Range, NM. The briefing day and laboratory tour will run from 0800-1700EST on January 11, 2012, with offsite parking and then bus transportation being provided by the Army onto the APG installation. Update and process briefs will take place in the morning with a break for pay as you go lunch. The briefs will be followed by a guided and comprehensive tour of the Army's laboratories that will support the NIE Agile Process. These tours will conclude and a brief wrap up session will conclude at 1700. Bus transportation will be provided back to the offsite parking. The NIE Agile Process Industry Day is open to all members of the Network supply chain who submit the proper visit request through the JPAS system using SMO CODE: W6J1025 with stated purpose of NIE/Agile Process Industry Day and the POC as Mr. Thomas Stalcup. Industry Day participants must be U.S. Citizens. This JPAS submission is necessary in order to visit the Army's C4 Campus and NIE supporting laboratories. If your company does not have JPAS access, please contact Ms. Kathy Madek at Kathleen.a.madek.ctr@mail.mil and an alternative submission process can be worked. JPAS must be completed NLT January 4, 2012. In addition to submission through JPAS, the NIE Industry Day registration form below must be completed filled out and returned to the POC as listed. Space is limited; therefore the number of attendees is restricted to two (2) attendees per company. Registration will be closed on January 4, 2012 or once maximum capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Dress code: Business Casual. Fee for lunch: $10.00, which can be paid via cash upon time of registration on 11 January 2012. Your badge will serve as receipt. A Registration Form is included as an attachment to the FBO posting.
