- Event conference planning service Synopsis: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT is to conduct market research relative to the Event Planning, Project Management and Logistics Support requirement. THIS IS NOT AN ORDER, SOLICITATION, OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation for services. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this announcement. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized and posted at www.fbo.gov. Your response to this announcement will assist the Air Force (AF) in determining the best acquisition solution to ensure robust competition and greater efficiency for the AF Event Planning service requirement. This announcement is specifically targeted for interested, qualified small businesses that can perform the services required as stated in the DRAFT Performance Work Statement to include non-personal, commercial services consisting of Event (Conference) Planning as described in the scope: conduct event pre-planning and logistics support to include: site selection market research; food and beverage coordination; facility set-up; equipment and materials; speaker support; attendee welcome packets; web-enabled registration; audio-visual and graphics support; professional videography and recording; facilitation and recording; meeting coordination and support; event critique and feedback summary; post-event lessons learned and review; and innovative approaches to improving messaging and value, i.e., branding, planned release of messages, on-site interviews, social media before, during and after events, and use of Defense Connect On-line (DCO) to reach a greater audience - across the Continental United States (CONUS) excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Approximately 45 conferences per year are contemplated. The AF is seeking a more efficient way of executing this requirement. We are seeking industry input into four specific areas where efficiencies may be gained: 1) looking for new approaches and sound expertise to support strategic planning efforts for conferences and meetings, so that when senior medical leaders are brought together their time can be maximized with a focus on strategic care initiatives. Building on industry knowledge, planning expertise and work in the private sector can reduce the overall cost to the government and minimize impact to the Air Force; 2) Type contract best suited for this requirement with appropriate CLIN /Price schedule structure to accommodate various as required aspects of the PWS; 3) small business representation and capability to perform to his requirement; and 4) Other strategic sourcing contract vehicles providing same type services In responding to this announcement please use the following format: Name of Company: Small Business/size standard: Please indicate your size standard and small business socio-economic sub-categories that represent your business; are you a Small Business, 8(a), Hub Zone, Woman-Owned, or Service Disable Veteran Owned?
