- Description: The Office of Acquisition, Logistics and Construction, National Acquisition Center, Business Resource Service (Contingency Contracting Division), Hines, IL is conducting market research to identify potential sources to provide a Centralized Uniform Purchase Program for its Veterans Affairs Police Department. The requirement will include the standardization of various uniform items, and services will include, but shall not be limited to, inventory control and the management of a centralized uniform purchase program. Please note, this IS NOT a request for quotes, bids, or proposals. But instead an attempt to survey the market place to gain market knowledge of the suggested products and services, and the various sources and their size classification that has the potential to meet the VA's need. As a result of this notice, the VA will devise its plan for soliciting and acquiring the stated requirement. This is a Full and Open inquiry to the market place. However, companies with an established GSA/FSS or other Government Agency Contracts should indicate as such in their response to this notice. There are various NAICS codes that could be applicable to this requirement as related to apparel and leather goods (shoes and boots). Under Apparel Manufacturing, Subsector 315 we site NAICS 315211, 315225, 315228, 315232, 315239, 315299, 315993, 315999. Under Leather and Allied Product Manufacturing, Subsector 316 we site 316213, 316214, 316219. A solicitation is not currently available. However, the VA's solicited requirement is anticipated to be issued over the next 30 to 90 days. The requirement is anticipated to be a potential five year, firm-fixed price award, with a base year and four one year renewable options. The successful vendor(s) to whom a resulting award is made will have the capabilities, qualifications and experience to provide a high quality product and service, at a reasonable price. All qualified and interested vendors are requested to review the attached documents, complete the information requested and submit said documents to the attention of the Contracting Officer.
