- "A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP on the same issue date cited in the solicitation. Choose the RFP you wish to download. Solicitations are in portable document format (PDF). To download and view these documents you will need the latest version of Adobe Arobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. A paper copy of the solicitation will not be available to requestors. The solicitation issue date is December 23, 2011" Purchase Request # 0042458103, NSN 1670-01-236-3820, for Canopy, Parachute Assembly Recovery and used as Life support Equipment. The item description is in accordance with Basic DWG NR 51998 J114551; amend dtd 04Dec 14 TY# J114551-507, Rev "AD". This item is Life Support with Critical Application and Configuration Control. Item requires Government First Article Testing (FAT) and Production Lot Testing (PLT) with Materials Textiles Testing requirements. This item is Flight Safety Critical and with Type 1 Shelf Life under QPL-6645. This requirement is set aside at 50% for small businesses, suitable at for a competitive acquisition for approved sources of supply as follows; FXC Corporation, CAGE 52497; Pioneer Aerospace Corporation, CAGE 77745; Airborne Systems North America of CA INC, CAGE 05QR4 and Mills Mfg Corp CAGE 02693. Delivery objective worksheet reflects a need award date within 378 DARO for estimated calculated delivery at (NAD) 6/4/2012. Requested delivery of days ARO based on the buyer's market research of the commodity, and historical procurements. The 529 day delivery is calculated from 120 days for FAT delivery, 90 days for FAT evaluation, 229 days for Production delivery, after FAT approval. Textile Material testing at 90 days. An LTC is at review consideration stage, however, to avoid anticipated unfilled orders this firm fixed price contract is the best interest at this time. Terms are FOB destination with inspection and acceptance at origin. Progress payments are not authorized for this solicitation.
