Description
The Western Regional Contracting Office (WRCO) intends to solicit a Request for Proposals (RFPs). The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is W91YU0-12-R-0003. The RFP will be posted in Federal Business Operations (FBO) as full and open competition. The intent of this requirement is provide Emergency Room Physician Services at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC), Fort Bliss, Texas for the period of 01 April 2012 through 30 September 2012 plus two subsequent one year option periods. The position requirements are for Emergency Room (ER) Physician Services. 1. The HCP(s) duty schedule will be such as to accommodate the 24/7 operations of a Trauma Level III Emergency Department. To maintain staff privileges at WBACH, each contract HCP must work an average of eight twelve hour shifts during each consecutive six month period. 2.Contractor is required to provide services during four twelve-hour shifts per day, seven days per week. MTF reserves the right to reduce the number of shifts as necessary to meet the needs of the government as determined by the Chief, Emergency Department. Chief, Emergency Department will submit the request for reduction of shifts in writing to the designated COR who will, in turn, coordinate the request with the KO for official notification to the Contractor. 3.During periods of MTF staff shortages or anticipated surges in patient volume, the Chief, Emergency Department may request the fill of one additional twelve hour shift per day. Request for fill of the additional shift will be accomplished in writing thru the COR and the KO to the Contractor at least 28 days prior to the start of the requested additional shift(s). 4.Twelve hour shifts shall generally be between the following hours: 0600 through 18001800 through 0600 0700 through 19001900 through 0700 The contract base period of performance is 01 April 2012 through 30 September 2012 with two one year option periods ending 30 September 2014; if exercised. The primary NAICS for this requirement if 621111, Office of Physicians, with a size standard of $10 million. The solicitation will be posted on or about 23 December 2011 and can be accessed at: https://www.fbo.gov. Prospective offerors will be able to download the solicitation and any supporting documentation from the website. Contract award is anticipated to be on or about 15 February 2012.
