- 7 Dec 11: The purpose of this posting is to clarify Amendment 1 of the Revised RFP. The "Summary of Changes" in the Amendment stated that the page limit on the IMS was changed from "2 Microsoft Project pages" to "8 Microsoft Project pages" however Section L Table 2.2 was not changed to reflect this revision. Please follow the Summary of Changes. Offerors have a page limit of "8" pages in Microsoft Project to address the IMS portion of the proposal. A second Amendment will be posted at a later date fully demonstrating this change. Thank you. All other terms of the RFP remain unchanged. Proposals remain due on 5 Jan 11 at 1400 MST. The Government requests that all questions be submitted NLT 2:00 pm (MST) on 22 Nov 11. The Government intends to post answers before the Thanksgiving holiday. Please submit all questions to 2d LT Joe Castillo at joe.castillo@kirtland.af.mil. ***Notice: Due to cost constraints, the Government will provide the bidder's library to "prime" contractors only.*** The United States Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) in coordination with the 498th Nuclear Systems Wing (NSW) intends to issue a Request for Proposal, FA9422-12-R-0001, to acquire the Secure Transportable Maintenance System(STMS) requirement. This full and open acquisition provides for design, development, testing and production of one prototype and nine STMS production units plus ancillary training and technical order services. This is not a follow-on effort. Based on an evaluation of Statements of Capability submitted in response to the sources sought notice issued on 6 May 11 for this effort, AFNWC/PKE and the 498th NSW program office concluded that this requirement was to be competed full and open. In addition, at the 12 Oct 11 Acquisition Strategy Panel Brief, the final contract type was determined to be firm-fixed price (FFP). This is a presolicitation notice and is not a request for competitive proposals.
