Draft Performance Work Statement Synopsis: Request for Information ESC Det 1/CEC Response Deadline: 15 Dec 2011; 4:00 PM (CDST) 42nd Contracting Office Marcus Abram, Contract Specialist; Anthony Sandoval, Contract Specialist; Jacqueline Threat-Tellis, Contracting Officer Maxwell AFB, AL 36112 Purpose: 42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL is requesting information for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) maintenance, Battery Replacement and Emergency Repair Services. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research is to determine if small business contractors can meet the requirements as stated in the attached Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). Vendors responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company's full name, business size, cage code, address, and point of contact. Also in responding to this RFI, please describe your experience and expertise in performing UPS maintenance and repair on Powerware, GE, and Liebert UPS equipment from 225 KVA up to 1200 KVA in size. Description of Services: The contractor shall provide Emergency Maintenance (EM), Preventative Maintenance (PM), unscheduled maintenance/repairs and battery replacement on different types, configurations, technologies and manufacturers of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for ESC Det 1/CEC Maxwell-Gunter Annex, AL. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, technical data/manuals, materials, supplies and services necessary to perform EM, PM, unscheduled maintenance, and battery replacement in support of different types of UPS systems In Accordance With (IAW) vendor's manual. This support includes static UPS (SUPS) systems, batteries, UPS remote monitoring, battery monitoring and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Filters and other ancillary equipment. The UPS systems support and protect SEES. UPS systems may include but not limited to: System Bypass Module (SBM), Bypass Control Cabinet (BCC), System Metering and Control Cabinet (SMCC), Maintenance Bypass Panel (MBP), etc. The contractor shall comply with all country, federal, state, local, industry, and national codes. Final responses to this RFI will be due on NLT Thursday, 15 Dec 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore commercial capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
