Description
The Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), anticipates soliciting for Chainsaw Repair Kits for Region 2. The solicitation number is AG-82X9-S-12-7004. The purpose of this Request for Quotations (RFQ) and any resultant Agreements is to acquire Chainsaw Repair Kits for use on a local, Regional, and Nationwide basis. The Agreements will be competitively awarded by Dispatch Centers within the Rocky Mountain Region. These areas consist primarily of the following locations: Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. Map link of the Region is below: Region 2: http://gacc.nifc.gov/rmcc/index_map.html Awards resulting from this solicitation will be posted on the VIPR website http://www.fs.fed.us/business/incident.php. The Contractor is responsible for all equipment, materials, supplies, transportations, lodging, trained/certified personnel, and supervision and management of those personnel, necessary to meet or exceed the Agreement specifications. The resources may be used in the protection of lands, to include but not be limited to, severity, fire suppression, and all-hazard incidents. This advertisement is a 100% small business set-aside opportunity. 1) Quotes shall be submitted in the Virtual Incident Procurement system (VIPR). To access VIPR you are required to have a Level 2 eAuthentication account that provides the ability to conduct official electronic business transaction. Level 2 eAuthentication information is available at the following website: http://www.fs.fed.us/business/incident/eauth.php. 2) This solicitation will be utilizing the Vendor Web Application and can be found at the following website: http://www.fs.fed.us/business/incident/pilotvendorapp.php 3) NO telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted, and NO paper copies will be issued. 4) Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn gov. 5) The solicitation will only be available electronically (at the website listed in #2 above) and will be posted to the FedBizOps website at: http://www.fbo.gov on or about December 15, 2011 and closing on March 15, 2012, 4:00 PM MST. 6) A pre-quote information meeting will be held on two separate occasions at the R2 USFS Headquarters located at 740 Simms Street Golden, CO 80401. Participation is not mandatory or necessary to submit a quote. The meetings will be on Jan 30th and Feb 6th from 0900-1400. POC for the meeting is Kim Luft.
