Description
THERE WILL BE A PRE-BID CONFERENCE ON DECEMBER 15, 2011 AT 1:00 AT THE HOPI HEALTH CARE CENTER. SOLICITATION IS NOW AVAILABLE, PLEASE REQUEST BY EMAIL ONLY. The intent of the project to replace two 70 BHP 30 psi Kewannee hot water boilers with three or four high-efficiency, condensing, hot water boilers as required for the Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC) located near Mile Post 388 on Highway 264 in Polacca, Arizona. The current system is considered to provide 100% redundancy with 2 boilers each providing 100% of the required capacity (a total of 200% of the required capacity). The intent of this project is to replace the existing boilers with three (3) boilers that would each provide 50% of the required capacity (150% total required capacity), or four (4) boilers that each would provide 33% of the required capacity 9133% total required capacity). If one boiler were to fail, the facility would still have 100% of the required capacity. The option of three or four boilers allows the contractor to provide the most cost effective solution while providing appropriately sized boilers. The Contractor shall be responsible for design and construction of the boiler system, including reuse or replacement of existing fuel trains, blow down piping, blow down tank, vent stacks, feed water piping, hot water supply piping, hot water return piping, and electric service in accordance with the National Electrical Code, as well as all other requirements for a functioning boiler system.
