- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 1 Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements -- with Hologic Inc, 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA, 01752, for supplies and reagents for sample collection, storage, and testing for GYN and Non-GYN specimens in the CYTO/HISTO Department for use with the Thin Prep Imaging Systems, Model 2000. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description The following list of supplies and reagents are currently in use with the Model 2000 Thin Prep Imaging Systems and are required to continue GYN and Non-GYN sample testing within eight (8) VISN 1 hospitals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than December 16, 2011, at 12:00 PM EST. Responses should be sent to Teresa.Cutty@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
