- The purpose of this presolicitation notice is to notify that the Installation Contracting Office - Alaska plans to solicit offers for an installation-wide janitorial contract at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, under solicitation W912D0-12-R-0003. The Government intends to award a single firm fixed price contract with one base year and three one-year options The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, material, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform custodial work at approximately 40 buildings on Fort Wainwright. This includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, mopping, removal of trash, cleaning of restrooms, dusting, and cleaning stairs, landings, and any other areas as specified in the performance work statement (PWS). The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS Code) is 561720 - Janitorial Service. The Period of Performance (POP) will cover the Base Year Plus Three One-year Options Potential Site visit will be tentatively scheduled for Dec 20th, 2011 at 9:00 AM AK Time. More information will be available in the solicitation package; to include confirmation of site visit date/time and required sign-up procedures for the visit. This action is a 100% Small Business set-aside (the specific type of SB set-aside is currently pending and will be stated within the solicitation). The contract type is Firm Fixed Price and the contract will be awarded based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer IAW FAR 15.101-2. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading at Federal Business Opportunities at www.fbo.gov or the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Website https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ at no charge. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned site regularly for any updates/amendments to this requirement. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov.
