- The United States (U.S.) Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Fort Dix, NJ intends to procure a Mac Pro Computer with Software. ACC NJ is conducting market research to identify possible sources to procure: Mac ProProcessor: Two 2.93GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon "Westmere" (12 cores).Operating System: Lion.32GB (8x4GB).Chipset: Mobile Intel QM57 Express Chipset.Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB.Display Options: 2 ea. Apple LED Cinema Display (27" flat panel).Primary Storage: 1- 1 TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s; 3- 2TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s.Optical Drives: One 18x SuperDrive.Multimedia: Front-panel headphone minijack and internal speaker Front-panel headphone minijack and internal speaker Front-panel headphone minijack and internal speaker.Battery Options: N/A.Power: Line voltage: 100-120V AC or 200-240V AC (wide-range power supply input voltage).Connectivity: Built-in AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless networking; 4 IEEE 802.11a/b/g compatible.Ports, Slots & Chassis: Raid Card. This notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Part (FAR) Part 10, Market Research and FAR Part 15, Exchanges with Industry before Receipt of Proposal. This notice serves as a Request for Information (RFI) in support of market research. All information received will be used for planning purposes only. A contract may not be awarded as a result of this announcement. This notice does not constitute an Invitation to Bid, a Request for Proposal, or a Request for Quote. The government will not award a contract based on this notice and will not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with responses to it.
