- Market SurveySources Sought/Capabilities RequestIn accordance with Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.1.2.1 this announcement is to conduct a market survey for the purpose of soliciting statements of interest and capabilities from interested vendors. This announcement is NOT a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposal (RFP). Further, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this market survey.Background:FAA, Southwest Region, has need for a general contractor experienced in the design and installation of Aerial Tramway Systems in rocky terrain to replace an aging system currently in operation at El Paso Aerial Tramway (ATRAM), Texas. (The Franklin Mountains, El Paso, Texas)Estimated Cost: $5,000,000Performance Period: 540 Calendar Days from Notice to ProceedNORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS): 336999 - 500Purpose: To determine sources available with core competencies and demonstrated experience in designing, developing and installing a complete Aerial Tramway System in rocky terrain to replace an aging system currently in operation at the same location (See attached for specification/pictures of current system). In order to determine the level of interest, competition, and technical capability within the business community, interested parties are requested to provide written responses to the capabilities below.Capabilities Statement (address the ability/experience to perform associated tasks): 1.Describe your experience in the design, development and installation of Aerial Tramway Systems, to include, but not limited to management, development, engineering, etc.2.State your approach to installation of Aerial Tramway Systems in rocky terrain.3.Provide references to similar projects previously performed. Submission NOTE: Electronic Submission is preferred. Submissions must not exceed 5 pages in length. Electronic submission should be in either Microsoft WORD format or PDF.
