Description
The Naval Air Systems Command PMA-207 D2, Patuxent River, MD, is sponsoring an unclassified Commercial Air Services Pre-Solicitation Conference (Industry Day) on 13 December 2011. The purpose of the event is to provide a status update of CAS Aerial Refueling Operations, inform industry of program requirements, competition timeline, and to provide a Question & Answer/networking opportunity. The CAS program provides contractor owned and operated aircraft to United States Navy (USN) Fleet customers and other DoD agencies for aerial refueling services of USN aircraft. The program office will discuss the types of aerial refueling missions including, but are not limited to, moving aircraft from one location to another, aerial refueling support during exercises, and Navy pilot training. Contract type, quantities of items, and contract duration will not be discussed during the Industry Day Conference. Aircraft types: Large wing aircraft capable of refueling. The General Session will be held on 13 December 2011, at The Holiday Inn, Solomons MD, 155 Holiday Drive, Solomons - (410) 326-6311 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This session will also include information on Operational Readiness fleet training (OPFOR). This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Navy will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government. Industry Day Registration: Registration will be conducted in advance; doors will open at 9:00 AM EST, 13 Dec 2011. Attendees are required to identify their nationality and their positions within the company they represent. This is a no-fee event and seating is limited. Send attendance information by 6 Dec 2011 to Linda Barrett via e-mail lbarrett@jfti.com. Please cc: Phillip Smith at Phillip.smith@navy.mil. An e-mail confirmation will be sent upon receipt. Attendee substitution requests may be submitted to the same points of contact by 12 Dec 2011. Late registration and "walk-in" requests will not be permitted. Attendees must present a CURRENT photo ID (driver's license, military ID, company ID or passport) matching the attendee information to gain entry into the event. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit sufficient time for check-in.
