- The U.S. Army, Fort Carson, Colorado, intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase order with Land of Ahs Kennel for animal shelter and disposal services. The requirements for this contract include: location within 15 miles of Fort Carson, shelter and sustenance for up to 4,070 boarding days per year and euthanization and disposal of up to 407 animals per year. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) and (FAR 13.501). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on 6 December 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to crystal.l.price.civ@mail.mil. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
