Description
The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command(SPAWAR), Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control,Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I), Command and Control,Program Office (PMW 150) is acquiring software and hardware systemdevelopment, integration, testing, fabrication, and delivery of two (2)distinctconfigurations of the Multi-functional Information Distribution System (MIDS)on Ship Modernization (MOS Mod) System. These configurations are: 1) a MOSMod System for shipboard application; and 2) a MOS Mod System intended foruse in non-shipboard applications. The contract is also for production anddelivery of fully qualified and certified MOS Mod system hardware and spares,as well as engineering and logistics support services related to theaforementioned production. The primary objective of this contract is toaddressobsolescence and supportability issues through technical refresh of legacy MOScomponents such as the HPA, MIDS LVT, power supplies, software, etc., and toincorporate a path to future enhancements such as Enhanced Throughput (ET),Concurrent Multi-Netting (CMN), and Concurrent Contention Receive (CCR). The Government anticipates issuing a single-award indefinite-delivery,indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract using full and open competition and best-value/trade-off source selection procedures. The period of performance isexpected to be a single three-year base ordering period for primarilydevelopment related activities with an additional four-year option orderingperiod for primarily production deliveries. Contract award is anticipated infirstquarter calendar year 2013. An Industry Day / Pre-solicitation conference is scheduled for 11 January2012.See attachment entitled 'Industry Day' for information regarding Industry Dayfor potential offerors, including RSVP instructions. As this program involvescritical technology information, Joint Certification Program (JCP)certification, asdescribed in attachment entitled 'NESI Access Instructions', is required toattendindustry day.
