Description
The purpose of this market survey is to identify to the Government potential sources interested in this procurement as either the prime contractor or a subcontractor. The CECOM Software Engineering Center (SEC) is responsible for providing life cycle software support for Mission Critical Defense Systems (MCDSs). The goals of the SEC are to: 1) establish/maintain Post Production Software Support (PPSS) for fielded systems, and 2) provide software engineering support for systems both deployed and under upgrade. The contractor shall support the PPSS for the AN/USC-63 Multiplexer Integration and DCSS (Digital Communications Satellite Subsystem) Automation System (MIDAS).This contract will establish the requirements for level of effort base contract of one year, with one year option, for the acquisition of PPSS. This PPSS support will consist primarily of the correction of software defects /deficiencies /errors, and the implementation of software refinements and enhancements to the operational and support software for MIDAS. In addition, PPSS support will include software facilities support, contractor field service support, formal review requirements, required deliverables, travel requirements, and Information Assurance guidance. The MIDAS application assembly language, microprocessors, and software development facility test bed were developed by, and are proprietary to, Raytheon. The Government does not possess a Technical Date Package (TDP) for the MIDAS. The Army does not anticipate holding interchange meetings with potential offerors. Please reference MIDAS on all correspondence. This is a request for information only and all information received will be for planning purposes only. The Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG)does not intend to award a contract on the basis of your responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information presented or the use of any such information. All proprietary information should be marked as such. Responses indicating interest in this procurement as a prime or subcontractor are also requested. Interested parties should identify any GSA contracts or other established vehicles suitable for placing actions of this nature. Contractors interested in providing this software support must indicate by replying via email to Cathy Rosenkranz at: cathy.l.rosenkranz.civ@mail.mil. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
