- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. Work consists of construction of a Ready Building for the 21st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company. The building will include operations space, sleeping area, kitchen and eating area, latrine with showers, laundry, fitness area, supply and storage space. It includes a mass notification system, fire detection and sprinklers will be installed throughout the facility, along with energy monitoring control systems connection to the installation central facility. Information services will be provided. Supporting facilities include parking and access roads, site improvements and information systems. Accessibility for individuals with Disability will be provided. ATFP measures include stand off distance, laminated glass and security lighting. A self contained system will be provided for heating.
