- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract to Niihau Ranch, LLC under the authority of Public Law 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Niihau Ranch has private title to the island and has restricted access for non-island residents. Non-island residents are not allowed to remain on the island overnight. The contract will provide Facility Support services for the Pacific Missile Range Facility on the island of Niihau, Hawaii. The services include: pest control; grounds maintenance; road maintenance; fuel and oil support; solar battery support; government furnished equipment maintenance; generator changeout; helicopter support services; ground transportation; and labor support services. This procurement will result in a Firm Fixed Price and Indefinite Delivery Requirements type contract. NAICS code 561210 applies. The contract term will be for a six-month period, beginning 1 January 2012. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, if you can obtain access to the island and are interested and capable of performing these services, respond to this synopsis for the Government ™s consideration. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
