- Description
- The US Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-New Jersey), PicatinnyArsenal, N.J. 07806-5000 on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) sole source modification to a current contract, W15QKN-05-C-1163 with BWAY Corporation for the production of 24,568 81 mm PA157 Mortar Metal Ammo Containers which are required to support M819, M853A1, M816 Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP) operations at Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA). The U.S. Army intends to satisfy this requirement utilizing the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements as award to another contractor would result in substantial duplication costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Please note this notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). The anticipated award is scheduled for December 2011.
