THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING A MARKET SURVEY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, PROPOSAL ABSTRACTS, QUOTATIONS OR INVITATION FOR BIDS The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS is conducting a MARKET RESEARCH SURVEY to obtain information to provide Veterinarian Animal Care for the Research Animal Facility. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 621399. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The NAICS code is 621399 DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: Provide Veterinarian Animal Care for the VA Animal Research Facility located at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1500 E. Woodrow Wilson Dr., Jackson, MS 39216. The contractor shall provide services to oversee daily husbandry and other animal care duties within the Veterinary medical unit (VMU). The contractor shall direct the day-to-day operations of the VMU such that the food, water, and housing provided to all animals are appropriate. EFFECTIVE DATES 1-1-12 THRU 9-30-12 POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large) and DUNS Number. 2) Provide a Statement of Capability that demonstrates the offeror's past performance in providing this type of service. Please include the following: (a) expertise including availability, experience, formal and other training, (b) Certificates and capability to perform the work; (c) prior completed contracts of similar nature to include references, and other related information. 3) Submit Capability Statements by December 7, 2011 to: Department of Veterans Affairs (VISN 16), 715 S. Pear Orchard Rd, Plaza I, 4th Floor, Ridgeland, MS 39157. ATTN: Rose Briggs. Responses should be received no later than 12:00 PM CST. Submissions must be made via email to: rosemary.briggs@va.gov or FAX: (601) 206-6957. NO CAPABILITY STATEMENTS MAY BE SUBMITTED AFTER DECEMBER 8, 2011. AT THIS TIME NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. A FUTURE NOTICE WILL BE POSTED TO FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNTIES WHEN THE SOLICITATION WILL BE RELEASED. 4) Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
