- The purpose of this amendment is to change the acquisition strategy from non-competitive to 100% Small Business Set Aside as follows: The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, intends to procure the Portable Air Compressor, SULLAIR P/N 185DUQMILN, Qty 2 Each. The 185DUQMILN part number was established to distinguish a modified 185DUQ that meets the Navy's requirements. Modifications include 1 each of an air filter maintenance indicator, spark arrestor, illuminated instrument panel, fuel level gauge, low fuel shutdown, tachometer, and a Tier II engine. This compressor will be provided as Government-Furnished Property to the contractor building the A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer. This is the only compressor that complies with the DOD Single Source Fuel Forward Policy and meets the requirements of the A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer. The selected source must be able to provide life cycle logistics support, specifically spares and repairs as needed. 2 copies of the SULLAIR technical manual and 2 copies of the engine technical manual are also required. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this procurement is limited to SULLAIR distributors who can provide the modified portable air compressor, life cycle logistics support and technical manuals. This procurement is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Business Opportunities" and then "Open Solicitations." Look for amendments to the solicitation on the NAVAIR webpage as well. The solicitation will be posted on the webpage on or about 19 December 2011. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The applicable requirements documents will not be made available until after release of the solicitation.
