Description
Announcement of Opportunity SFB012 Power and Communications Corridor Haleakalā, Maui, Hawai'i The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. (AURA), on behalf of the National Solar Observatory, is soliciting Request for Quotes (RFQ) from contractors licensed in the State of Hawai‘i to provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, services, and equipment required to complete the excavation, installation and backfilling as needed for a primary power and communications corridor in support of the Advanced Technology Solar Telescope project. Work includes earthwork and trenching as needed for drains, culverts, and utility lines, installation of utility vaults and conduits, concrete pads, concrete encasement, grounding for power and communications, and backfill. This effort is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (Public Law 111-5) and the requirements set forth at 2 CFR Part 176, "Award Terms for Assistance Agreements that include funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Public Law 111-5," shall be applied. Firms interested in receiving the RFQ documentation for this procurement should send a one page letter of interest on firm letterhead and proof of Hawaiian licensure to the Contracts Officer, AURA-ATST Project by either fax (520-318-8500) or email (ATSTproposal@noao.edu) and must be received not later than Friday, December 16, 2011, 3:00 PM MST. The letter of interest should reference Announcement of Opportunity No. SFB012 and include physical mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and email address (if available) for a contact person. Upon receipt of a letter of interest, qualified firms will be provided access to the RFQ documentation.
