- Description
- The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award on a competitive basis, a fixed price Purchase Order, for the containment, storage and disposal of clean solid and liquid waste from two USGS drill sites (Wilkins and Montebello) near Wells, NV. At a minimum, the vendor must be able to collect and store all residues safely, then transport to an acceptable dump site. The solid waste is composed of moist clays, silts, sands, and gravels. The liquids will be sediment laden bentonite clay drill mud. Estimated weights are 18 tons of solids and 30 tons of liquids from each site. (Totals are 36 Tons of Solids and 60 Tons of Liquids.) The Government will contact the contractor when bins are full and ready to transport for disposal. It is expected there will be multiple trips during the drilling process. Locations and drill site maps will be provided with RFQ G12PS00038. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Anticipated award date is 15 February 2012.
