- FOR ALL INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Nicole Tavernier, Logistics Management Specialist, 443-861-2940 nicole.m.tavernier.civ@mail.mil The C-E LCMC-LRC IEWS Directorate is seeking potential sources to provide supplies related to the Guardrail weapon system (AN/USD-9), national stock number 5985-01-583-6769, part Number 10-181298-1 (Cage Code, 28815). The U.S. Government (USG) does not possess detailed drawings for the COUPLER, DIRECTIONAL or its components. Northrop Grumman (Cage Code 28815) is the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), the developer of and current prime contractor for the COUPLER, DIRECTIONAL and possesses detailed drawings. This equipment contains proprietary data that is only the property of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (Northrop Grumman). Potential manufactures of the required supplies must also resolve diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages issues. The potential sources must be able to identify and isolate component failures within the system and system failures. All interested potential sources must prepare a white paper no greater than 10 pages in length, specifying their ability to supply the Guardrail system required by the USG and include the following information, at a minimum: 1) Provide evidence of level security classification both for the contractor's facilities, people in production, testing, calibration and experience with building the Coupler, Directional. 2) Provide evidence of past performance on similar projects of similar design and requiring similar Supplies. 3) Knowledge of the GUARDRAIL weapon system and past history in support of this system. This documentation may be mailed to US Army, Commander CECOM, IEWSD-ILS-IAC, 6006 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD 21001 to the attention of Nicole Tavernier.
