- Sensing Element, Fire Detector System SYNOPSIS POSTED: 10/31/2011... Anticipated Open date: 12/02/2011, Close Date: 01/02/2012 Purchase Request: 0043125998, NSN 6340-01-125-3149; Sensing Element, Fire Detector System. Solicited as unrestricted procurement using the procedures of other than full and open competition in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1). This is a non-commercial procurement, this item is weapon systems coded as 43N, Aircraft, Hornet F/A-18, Sensing Element; Fire Detector System. The manufacturers are Meggitt Safety Systems, Inc. (Cage 25693) and Kidde Technologies Inc. (Cage 61423) and their part number is 3951-06-1000/475-8 and 10-1103-1000/475-8 respectively. Solicitation is for a Firm Fixed contract, requirement quantity is 30 including a 100% quantity option. Inspection/Acceptance is required Origin and FOB is Destination. This is a Navy identified critical safety item (CSI), Higher -Level Contract Quality, Configuration Control, Critical, QPL/QML, Measurement and Test Equipment (M/TE) applies.
