Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Quantico, VA, the Program Executive Office, Land Systems (PEO LS), and the Program Manager, Marine Corps Personnel Carrier (MPC), Woodbridge, VA, will host an Infantry Commanders Introduction to MPC on 9-13 January 2012 at the Nevada Test Center, Silver Springs, NV, to introduce the Marine Corps leadership to the capabilities of the MPC Technology Demonstrator as well as vehicles currently produced by industry. Prospective contractors for the MPC program will be provided the opportunity to conduct a demonstration of the capabilities of their vehicle. Contractors will be able to interface with Marine Corps leadership only when they are viewing the vehicle. Contractors will not be able to provide any detailed briefs during the event. Vendors interested in conducting a demonstration at this event must send an email, no later than 12 December 2011, with the subject line: Infantry Commanders Introduction to MPC, to Mr. Reginald Caldwell, caldwellrk@efv.usmc.mil. In the email, the vendor must provide information verifying it can provide a fully operational vehicle and are prepared to demonstrate its land mobility capabilities. Only fully operational vehicles capable of land mobility will be considered for capability demonstrations. The email must also provide the following information: Company Name and Address: Name of Attendees: Attendees Phone Number, Title and Email Address: This announcement is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to enter into a contractual agreement or conduct vehicle demonstrations. Furthermore the Government will not pay for any information submitted. Interested parties are solely responsible for all costs and expenses associated with their respective response to this notice. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for any direct or indirect costs or expenses associated with participating in the event. Further, MARCORSYSCOM is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. When a solicitation is released, it will be released on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to the MPC.
